This was all I could think of, sitting at my desk more than ten years ago, a few minutes after DMV had received a request to supply the prestigious international organisation CERN in Switzerland.
It was only a few months after my joining DMV that all of a sudden I was asked to participate in the construction of a fantastic machine that would contribute to fundamental human research.
These requirements were initially hardly achievable in existing industry conditions. Being such a difficult and demanding task, it took us some months before we were able to understand the customer’s requirements. Then we endeavoured to involve all DMV departments & DMV employees to work together in order to fulfil the customer’s need. Our top priority was to achieve this synergy in order to contribute (at our level) to the progress of the knowledge of mankind. And this is how, after ten years of collaboration with CERN, we supplied the tubes and pipes to be installed inside the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in Switzerland. Elementary particles will soon run through DMV STAINLESS tubes and pipes at the speed of light!
Many other exciting experiences have since followed this first one. During all these years, I have learnt with my company how to challenge the stringent conditions of our environment.
The key to success lies first and foremost in focusing on the customer's needs. Second, but equally important, is building up the right sales team which can also satisfy these customer requirements. But we must never forget that the final ingredient of every success story lies in transmitting the energy to the sales team in order to guarantee full satisfaction to our customers.
